In the draft report on the New Circular Economy Action Plan of the European Commission, the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety investigates the challenges and opportunities of the Circular Economy for Europe.
Especially the opportunities are very important, and show that there is a huge potential for (economic) growth for the EU. We are very happy to see Waste Compensation mentioned as one of the pragmatic and effective ways to move forward in the Circular Economy.
Page 8 of this report calls on producers to recognize their responsibility and commit to Waste Compensation moving forward.
